A psychiatric hospital has been named by the Health Secretary today as part of one of the NHS Trusts allegedly linked with disgraced television presenter Jimmy Savile.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust said:
We can confirm we have been passed information by the Department of Health regarding Jimmy Savile, which names the Leavesden Secure Mental Hospital, for investigation.
Leavesden Hospital was run by one of our predecessor organisations and closed in 1995 but we will investigate the information we have received thoroughly and ensure that any appropriate actions are taken.
