Three Iranian women amongst a group of hunger strikers camped outside the US Embassy in London were last night rushed to hospital.
They were taken to UCL hospital in London in critical conditions with severe health difficulties. They are suffering from severe chest pains, headaches, muscular spasms, temporary paralysis and extreme weakness and breathlessness.
The six hunger strikers are protesting against an attack on Iranian dissidents taking refuge in Iraq. On 1 September 2013 Iraqi forces attacked Camp Ashraf killing 52 residents and taking a further 7 hostage, six of whom are women.
