London Assembly calls for commuters to have a say

The London Assembly has agreed a motion urging Boris Johnson and Transport for London to develop and adopt a 'Passengers Charter', setting out the minimum services level commuters can expect to receive from TfL.

Concerns were raised by the Assembly that Londoners were not given the opportunity to comment on proposals to close all Tube Ticket Offices and reduce station staffing levels by 950 posts, particularly as 19% of tickets are currently sold via ticket offices.
