Day release decision defended after robber given life

Detective Chief Inspector Harry Hennigan has defended the decision by authorities to let a man out on day release from prison, who subsequently carried out a series of armed raids.

Sean Bradish was handed down two life sentences having already received one previously.

A man who committed six armed robberies while he was on day release or weekend leave from prison has been given two life sentences at the Old Bailey. Sean Bradish is already serving time after he was jailed in 2002.
