A man has been jailed for 10 years for the manslaughter of a three-year-old boy at an address in Lambeth, police said today.
On March 11, 2013, police were called by the London Ambulance Service to an address in Lambeth where a child had been taken ill.
The three-year-old was taken to St George's Hospital where he was pronounced dead after 10pm.
It is believed the child was assaulted sometime during that evening and suffered injuries including a head injury, a number of fractured ribs, a lacerated liver and internal bleeding.
The man was found guilty on January 24 following a trial at the Old Bailey.
