Appeal for witnesses to 'drive-by' shooting

Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspected drive-by shooting on Waterloo Bridge.

A black Ford Focus, travelling southbound, was shot at by someone believed to have been on a motorcycle yesterday evening.

A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

The surrounding area, including the Southbank, would have been busy with people enjoying their Friday night and detectives are eager to speak with anyone who witnessed the shooting, or who saw the motorcycle fleeing the area.

Three men, believed to be in their twenties, have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and remain in custody.

The Trident Gang Crime Command is investigating.

Anyone with any information can call police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
