The father of three children found dead at a home in New Malden broke down in tears as his wife appeared in court charged with three counts of murder.
Gary Clarence, 43, watched on from the public gallery as 42-year-old Tania Clarence spoke only to confirm her name at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court today.
Mrs Clarence is accused of killing her three-year-old twin sons, Ben and Max, and her four-year-old daughter - all of whom are said to have suffered from spinal muscular atrophy.
Mr Clarence was escorted out of court by police officers and driven away in a black taxi after the brief hearing.
