Lineker criticises Daniel Levy after Sherwood sacking

Gary Lineker appeared to criticise Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy today for sacking manager Tim Sherwood after just six months in charge.

The Match of the Day host and former Spurs striker said "those that run the club" never get blamed for a team's troubles, as he praised Sherwood's "refreshingly different" approach.

Tim Sherwood has been sacked by Spurs. He's opinionated, bombastic and refreshingly different. Hope to see him in charge of a PL club soon.

It's always those that run the team, never those that run the club that are to blame!
