Gunnersbury Park has been closed because of fears over safety after a group of travellers began camping out over the weekend. Hounslow Council was told by police to close the area.
In a short statement the council said: "Following the advice of local police, we are closing Gunnersbury Park in the interests of public safety. We have not made this decision lightly, and will reopen the park as soon as possible."
