A rail accident team is investigating after a track worker was seriously injured after being struck by a Gatwick Express train travelling at 80mph.
The injured worker was supervising a group carrying out track maintenance work near Redhill in Surrey when he was struck at about 10.40am on June 24, 2014. The 11-strong team were carrying out repairs to the towards-London line between Redhill Tunnel and Quarry Tunnel.
