Police have released a photo of a man who was stabbed to death in Southend on Monday.
Hassan Mohammed, 24, from Camberwell, south east London, was found dead in York Road.
The provisional results of a post-mortem examination found he died of blood loss as a result of two stab wounds.
Today his family described him as their "protector and best friend".
