A coroner has ruled that the deaths of two men who died after their stairlifts broke were 'accidental'. George Bathmaker from Mitcham and James Bell from Ramsgate both fell down steps after inadequate welds on the lifts fractured
The manufacturer Acorn Stairlifts has accepted responsibility and has taken steps to ensure the failures cannot happen again.
