Peace rally planned after arson attempt on Finsbury Park Mosque

An anti-racism rally will be held outside Finsbury Park Mosque on Friday evening, one week on from an attempted arson attack on the building. The vigil of solidarity is designed to show unity against all kinds of racism.

Police are still searching for a man who threw a molotov cocktail over the railings last Friday. It device failed to detonate. It is the second time the mosque has been targeted since the terrorism attacks in Paris last month. Meanwhile as reported incidents of Islamophobia have trebled in some areas of London, police have increased high visibility patrols across the capital.
