Thames Valley Police are questioning four men arrested after a man was found dying from a stab wound at a property in Newbury. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the emergency services.
Thames Valley Police launched a murder investigation after the 38-year-old was found seriously injured at the property in Queens Road, Newbury, Berkshire, at about 10pm on Friday.
A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Monday 19th March. A formal identification will not occur before then.
Police had been called out initially to a separate incident where they found a 33-year-old man seriously injured in Boundary Road, Newbury, at 9.25pm on Friday. A police spokesperson said this person remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Three men, aged 20, 22 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday. A fourth man, aged 32, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Detective Chief Inspector Joe Kidman of the Thames Valley Police Force said: "Both victims appear to have stab-type injuries. It does appear that the parties involved are known to each other."
