The blazing Olympic torch is one symbol we all associate with the Olympic Games. It is carried from Athens, site of the ancient games in Greece, to the modern host country - this year the UK.
Eight thousand torchbearers will carry the torch on it's journey through the UK on its way to the Olympic Stadium in London.
You can find where the route passes closest to you, by visiting the torch relay website.
Here's Fred to tell us where the torch will be in our region between 9th July when it is in Oxford, with one of the torchbearers named as student, Nicola Byrom; and the 19th July when it reaches Guildford.
