Damien: Mum's heartbreak
by Martin Dowse
The mother of Damien Nettles, who disappeared on the Isle of Wight 16 years ago, has returned to the island to encourage police to begin a fresh search.
His mother Valerie Nettles now lives in America, but is back on the island to support a charity concert. The event hopes to raise £10,000 to be used as a reward for information to solve the long -unning mystery.
The Police have an online casebook about Damien's disappearance.
Mrs Nettles says no parent should ever have to lose a child. She believes her son was beaten to death by a drugs gang over an unpaid cannabis debt. Martin Dowse has been talking to Mrs Nettles about the search for her son.
