Victory party for Royals

Reading FC has released more information about the club's Premiership promotion party on Sunday.

The players, staff and families will be on board two open-top buses that will leave Friar Street at 12:30pm. The players will be presented with the Championship trophy and their medals on the official podium inside the Madejski Stadium between 3pm and 4pm.

Fans can travel to the Madejski Stadium on special shuttle buses that will run from Reading Railway Station between noon and 2.30pm. Return services will run from Madejski Stadium to the station between 4pm and 5pm.

The following roads will close from 10.30am and will reopen once the parade has passed through: Friar Street (from its junction with Greyfriars Road), Blagrave Street, Valpy Street, The Forbury, Market Place, High Street, Duke Street.

Events on Sunday inside the Madejski Stadium:

1pm: Reading u16s vs Watford u16s kicks off, 40mins each way, 10mins for half time.

2.40pm: onwards, Master Blaster giveaway, videos on big screen, Champions podium to be erected.

2.55pm: Impossible Dream video on big screen.

3pm-4pm: Presentation of npower Championship trophy and medals on official podium.

For the presentation the squad will be wearing the home shirt with ‘Champions’ on the front.

The Player of the Season award will also take place. Top three contenders are Adam Federici, Jem Karacan and Alex Pearce.

The players and staff will complete the day with a lap of honour.

4.30pm: Gates close.
