Thousands turn out for Royals

Reading Football Club will host a celebration event at Madejski Stadium when the players return from their tour of the town. Then the team will be presented with the official trophy and the Player of the Season announcement will be made.

The celebrations start when manager Brian McDermott and the squad begin their tour at 12.30pm and it ends at the Madejski Stadium, crowds permitting, at 2.30pm. The places to view the tour are as follows:

Friar Street before the buses head towards the town hall, down Blagrave Street, Valpy Street and to The Forbury, through Market Place, along High Street and up London Street. The buses will then head back the to Madejski Stadium.

The following roads close from 10.30am and will reopen once the Parade has passed through:

Friar Street (From its junction with Greyfriars Road), Blagrave Street , Valpy Street, The Forbury , Market Place, High Street, Duke Street

Diversions will be in place. Some Reading Buses services will be affected by the parade so please visit the Reading Buses website for details .
