A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man at a flat in Brighton.
37-year-old Graham Pethard from Liverpool died from a stab wound following an incident at Taunton Road in Bevendean in Brighton early on Saturday morning.
34-year-old, Carlo Dawes of Taunton Road, Brighton is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court this morning.
Graham Pethard was found by paramedics at around 5.20am on Saturday May 5th collapsed inside the flat but despite efforts to try and save his life he sadly died at the scene. A post mortem has revealed he died from extensive blood loss caused by a knife wound.
Detective Inspector Phil Mays who is leading the investigation said: "We need the people of Brighton and Hove to come forward if they have any information that could help us with our investigation.
