The RNLI has seen a sharp rise in callouts to help people in danger off the South coast.
Eastbourne RNLI has dealt with 4 accidents in the last 2 days, after people have flocked to beaches and harbours across the South and South East. Kayakers in serious danger have needed treatment for hypothermia.
Meanwhile, Poole lifeguards have also seen a rise in those needed treatment on Sandbanks beach.
A couple in their 70's have been rescued by lifeboat crews from a sinking yacht. They had recently bought the yacht and were returning from Bembridge on their maiden cruise and heading back to Itchenor. RNLI crews from Hayling Island and Portsmouth went to their rescue. No-one was hurt.
