Swimming in the streets?

Take a crane, a hydropool and several hundred thousand litres of water and you can transform your high street.

East Grinstead's famous for the longest row of Tudor buildings in Britain - it's swimming club put it on the map for different reasons

To mark it's 100 th anniversary the club decided to swim 100 miles in 50 hours in the middle of the high street in a special pool where the flow of water can be altered according to the strength of the swimmer.
