Hundreds of people turned out to see a boat that took part in the Queen's Jubilee pageant on the Thames sail into Kent on her way back home.
"The Matthew" a medieval replica ship was positioned at Tower Bridge in the regatta and will be moored in Sandwich until Sunday before she continues her journey to Cornwall.
The ship is a replica of a vessel called a Caravel, which was used by explorer John Cabot in 1497, when he discovered north America.
"The Matthew" is recognised by people after appearances on several television programmes such as Blue Peter and more recently she starred in the Chronicles of Narnia.
The only English sailing ship representing the medieval period in one of England's most medieval towns has proved a big draw.
