'Life doesn't end when you get your legs blown off': a soldier's story

The shooting of three British soldiers by an Afghan policeman brings the number of servicemen and women killed in Afghanistan to 422.

Sadly - fatalities make headline news. But less well known is the increasing number of soldiers losing limbs.

A charity based in the Meridian region is dedicated to helping these amputees and on Monday a special fund raising event begins.

Four wounded servicemen with only two legs between them will ride a vintage motorbike from Scotland to Devon.

Kerry Swain has been to meet one of them.
