If you drive a car, do you know how much tax you pay for every litre of fuel you put into your vehicle? Well, independent petrol retailers are revealing that cost in a bid to put pressure on the government to cut fuel duty. According to the Taxpayers' Alliance, for every £30 you pay, £18 goes to the Treasury. Twelve pounds covers the cost of the fuel - £1 of which goes to the retailer.
