Christmas jumper robber strikes in Hove

Police have released CCTV images after an armed robber wearing a Christmas jumper demanded money from the tills at a convenience store in Hove.

The incident happened at around 10.30pm last Tuesday (Feb 9) at the One Stop shop in Nevill Road.

The man, who was also wearing a dark crash helmet , demanded money while threatening a shop worker with a handgun.

He made off with cash from the shop leaving the staff member distressed.

The suspect is described as:

  • white man
  • slim build
  • wearing full face motorcycle helmet with dark visor
  • black knitted Christmas jumper, black jeans, black leather gloves and white Adidas trainers

Detectives are linking the incident to an armed robbery at The Portland Convenience Store in Portland Road, Hove on January 31.

On both occasions the suspect, described as male and 5'8" in height was wearing a dark motorcycle crash helmet and used a handgun to threaten staff.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything regarding these incidents or who may have any information that may assist the investigation.
