A woman has been rescued from a burning cottage after a blaze ripped through its thatched roof.
Firefighters were called to the property at Crockerhill in West Sussex just off the A27.
The alarm was raised at 5.45pm on Saturday and crews worked through the night to bring the blaze under control.
One engine remains at the scene this morning and is expected to monitor the site for hot spot flare-ups for a couple of days.
No one was injured and crews managed to prevent the fire spreading to neighbouring properties.
