£25,000 raised towards cancer treatment for Southampton musician
More than £25,000 has been raised in one night towards cancer treatment for a Southampton musician.
Greg Gilbert who's from the city is well known as the lead singer and guitarist for English Indie band the Delays.
His family are trying to raise £250,000 to pay for treatment for Greg abroad - they say it's his only chance of survival,
Currently the Give 4 Greg fundraising page, set up by his finace Stacey, has raised £157,000.
But it's still a way off the target of a quarter of a million pounds.
Last night the remaining band members, along with other special guests, performed a benefit concert at the 1865 club in Southampton.
More than 700 people attended, raising £25,000 towards Greg's treatment.
