Who says winning the title doesn't matter?

Brighton players were dejected and emotional after losing out to Newcastle in the dying moments of the season.

Brighton were leading 1-0 with a minute to go and the title secure, but a goalkeeping error from David Stockdale handed Newcastle the honours.

You've got to feel for Stockdale- he's been superb all season and made a number of fine saves today but he was clearly dejected when the realisation set in.

Newcastle were 3-0 winners at Barnsley- the three points taking them above Brighton to the top of the Championship table.

However, it's Premier League football next season for Brighton anyway.

And it could be a lot worse- at least they're not Blackburn fans.
