Kent Police are continuing to question a man over the murder of a pensioner at a house in Faversham.
Forensics teams are investigating the death in Crispin Close, where at least two bungalows have been cordoned off.
A police spokesman said the arrested man and the victim, who is in his 70s but is yet to be formally identified, were believed to have known each other.
Officers were called at 4.50pm on Friday and discovered the body of the man inside the house.
Police say the death is being treated as suspicious. The suspect remains in police custody.
