The site that a carpenter was working on before he fell, sustaining fatal injuries, was 'blatantly not safe' a court has heard.

Hove Millionaire Michael Holland and Grant Oakes are both charged with 'gross negligent' manslaughter after employee Dave Clark fell 15ft from the first floor of a stable block in 2014.

The 55 year old was airlifted to hospital on 30th September with serious head injuries but died a month later.

Giving evidence, an expert witness in civil engineering said work shouldn't have been allowed at the site and it should have been stopped.

Both Michael Holland and Grant Oakes deny manslaughter and the trial continues.
