Conservative MP pleads not guilty over false election expenses

A Kent MP has appeared in court to face charges over his 2015 general election expenses.

Craig Mackinlay is accused of exceeding campaign spending limits as he fought off a challenge from UKIP's Nigel Farage.

The South Thanet MP appeared before Westminster magistrates alongside election agent Nathan Gray and campaign director Marion Little. All three pleaded not guilty.
