Poole Hospital is to lose it's A&E department, maternity unit and paediatrics services in a major shake-up of healthcare in Dorset. The changes mean the Royal Bournemouth Hospital will now become Dorset's main emergency centre.
Campaigners fear longer journey times to hospital will cost lives. A protest was held outside the meeting - but health bosses agreed - unanimously - to re-organise healthcare to plug a £159m funding gap.
Some community beds will also go across the county, and other hospitals will share services - as Duncan Sleightholme reports.
