Monday evening's weather for the west of the region

Winds largely easing and rain is clearing across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Sussex, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

This Evening and Tonight: Rain, most persistent in the south will sink into the Channel by midnight, with skies then clearing to leave a dry but chilly end to the night with long clear spells. Winds will also gradually ease overnight. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday: Dry with sunny spells on Tuesday, but increasingly cloudy through the afternoon. Winds generally light, but a little breezy in the east at first. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: Bright or sunny spells Wednesday, rain in the north overnight. Some rain and strong winds Thursday morning, drier but breezy with sunny spells later. Dry and bright Friday, winds easing.
