Five year old boy dies after collision in Bournemouth

A family in Dorset is tonight mourning the loss of their five year old following a collision in Bournemouth.

It happened while he was crossing Naseby Road just before 4pm on Wednesday 13th December.

He sustained a serious head injury and was taken to Poole Hospital, where he later died. The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, was shaken but not injured. Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.

It is with great sadness for me to say that this young boy died from the injuries he sustained in the collision. Our thoughts are with all his family and friends. I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision and has yet to speak to officers to please contact Dorset Police."
