Friday morning's weather for the west of the region


Some patchy drizzle still possible, but with mist, fog, and low cloud slowly thinning to give some bright or sunny spells during the day and perhaps the odd coastal shower. Maximum temperature 8 deg C (46 deg F).

Today: Widespread mist, low cloud, fog or hill fog and perhaps some drizzle at first. Then staying largely cloudy across western areas, with perhaps occasional light rain or drizzle, and limited sunny intervals. Further east some sunny spells may develop inland. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight: Staying predominantly cloudy, although some limited breaks could occur, and becoming breezy along the coast, clearing any early coastal mist and low cloud. Patchy light rain and drizzle is possible. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
