One of the biggest consultation exercises ever seen in the country is underway in our region.
It will observe the prospect of the controversial third runway at Heathrow and will see 40 public events in Surrey, Berkshire and London over the next ten weeks.
New images of how the airport might look have also been revealed.
The consultation looks to discuss new flight paths, options for the length of the proposed new runway and terminals. New plans have been released that would reduce the cost of the scheme by £2.5billion.
The consultation is also seeking views on putting the M25 in a tunnel or moving it by 150 metres to the west to make way for the new runway.
The expansion will also support their plan to increase the workforce, doubling the number of apprenticeships at Heathrow to 10,000 positions.
Heathrow Airport said in a statement that fewer people impacted by noise than today, and they carry an ambition for carbon-neutral growth.
But critics already say it's no more than a cosmetic exercise and don't believe they'll be listened to.
See the video below of what Heathrow could look like, if plans go ahead.
