This Evening and Tonight: Evening showers mostly dying out then largely clear and cold overnight, leading to a widespread frost. Any overnight showers are most likely to affect western areas, and these probably turning wintry with a risk of icy surfaces. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Friday: A dry day for most parts, with sunny spells. Still feeling cold, with brisk winds. One or two rain or hail showers are still likely, these mainly in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Early frost Saturday then mainly dry, but chance of rain. Some frost overnight, before turning milder with rain spreading east on Sunday. Monday mild and cloudy with some rain likely.
