Iron-age discoveries made in Margate Caves

Iron-age discoveries are already being made, just days into excavations at Margate Caves. Volunteers working on the project have also uncovered a Georgian schoolhouse buried there.

The team started work at the caves on Northdown Road on Monday (05/02). They're looking to better understand the history of the site before a new visitor centre and village hall for Cliftonville are built.
