Breezy with outbreaks of rain, slowly clearing this evening

Today: Dry and locally bright to start, though windy with gales along the south coast. Rain arriving by midday, winds easing as it slowly clears east through the late afternoon, perhaps turning wintry as it does so, mainly over high ground. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight: Turning frosty over most parts with clear skies and light winds, though staying cloudier in the east of Kent with a risk of some mist or hill fog. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Wednesday: Cold and bright in the west, any low cloud and fog soon clearing in the east as winds increase. Rain arriving through the afternoon, turning very windy, but easing later. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
