More industrial action on South Western Railway

The latest phase of industrial action by South Western Railway has been announced, following several other strikes in recent months. It will take place from midnight on Friday 16th February.

It follows an announcement by the RMT Union, which states the action will last until midnight on Monday 19th February. It's partly due to the ongoing dispute regarding driver-only trains.

The announcement calls for RMT guard and driver members not to undertake any rest day working, including working any days off. RMT says working rest days is entirely voluntary and is at the discretion of the individual.

We sincerely hope the union withdraws this action and we have asked them to suspend this industrial action so that we can all focus our efforts on resolving this dispute. We have yet to receive a response.
