Today: A dry, in places frosty and perhaps misty start with rather a lot of cloud around for the morning. It will remain dry during the afternoon with increasing amounts of sunshine and a light easterly breeze developing. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Tonight: A dry, mostly clear and cold night with light winds. A colder night is expected than previous nights, with widespread sharp frost developing outside London, but less chance of fog. Minimum temperature -3 °C.
Friday: Cold and bright with a few showers perhaps in the north during the morning. Dry for most during the afternoon with strengthening easterly winds giving significant wind chill. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Becoming much colder into the weekend and beyond, with an increasing wind chill. Overnight frost becoming more severe, and an increasing risk of scattered snow showers on Monday.
