Monday afternoon's weather for the east of the region

Dry with sunny spells today, but a cooler, fresher feel.

Today: A dry day in prospect with sunny spells, but it will feel noticeably cooler and fresher than of late for most. The west to southwesterly breeze will be brisk at times. Maximum temperature 17 deg C (63 deg F).

Tonight: Becoming cloudy overnight with outbreaks of rain moving east across the region after midnight, perhaps the odd heavier burst mixed in. Breezy. Minimum temperature 8 deg C (46 deg F).

Tuesday: Largely cloudy with outbreaks of rain, perhaps becoming more patchy for a time. However, further more persistent and heavier rain returning from the west again through the afternoon and evening. Maximum temperature 16 deg C (61 deg F).

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: A mixture of sunny spells and showers, the showers likely heavier towards the north. Brisk winds developing by Thursday, before easing on Friday. Turning a little cooler.
