A thundery Bank Holiday in store with sunny spells in the south

Hot, muggy, with isolated thunder storms across the south and Thames Valley. Kate Haskell has more:

This Evening and Tonight:

Localised thunderstorms, likely affecting the Thames Valley area, should gradually weaken during the night, whilst remaining dry and relatively clear in the south. Feeling very warm and muggy in light winds. Low cloud, mist and murk may also develop by dawn. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Monday:

Feeling very warm or hot with light winds and developing sunny spells through the day, this heat perhaps enough to trigger isolated thunderstorms later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 28 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Warm and humid conditions will persist through midweek, with a continuing risk of heavy showers and thunderstorms, but also some drier, sunnier periods. Winds should be mainly light throughout.
