Crowds turn out to see navy's flagship leave Portsmouth

Hundreds turned out to watch the Royal Navy's newest flagship HMS Queen Elizabeth leave Portsmouth harbour this morning.

The aircraft carrier was taking part in emergency response training in the Solent.

The ship's Twitter account revealed there had been a 'man overboard' exercise as part of the training.

The aircraft carrier later tweeted that the exercise had gone well and they were now looking forward to a roast lunch:
