Actor Hugh Bonneville has taken a break from the Downton Abbey film set to give his support to a Hampshire charity. He unveiled a flower wall outside the Breast Cancer Haven in Titchfield, which provides therapies and practical and emotional support to those facing cancer. The charity hopes it will raise the profile of the illness in the run up to Breast cancer awareness month in October.
Hugh Bonneville had been filming the new Downton Abbey movie at Highclere Castle during the morning and was welcomed by fans on his visit to Titchfield.
The drop in centre offers past and present patients free support and advice and a range of services from counsellors, therapists and health professionals. The Breast Cancer Haven charity was founded in 1997 and the centre in Titchfield was set up in 2015. It's hoped the wall of flowers will provide a reminder of the need to check for breast cancer symptoms and will kick start a month of raising vital funds and awareness. Here's Mary Stanley's report
