A rare painting of Henry the eighth's grandmother is on display at Hever Castle. The picture of Margaret Beaufort was painted during the reign of Henry's daughter Queen Elizabeth the first. It will form part of an important collection of Tudor portraits on permanent display.
The historian David Starkey has unveiled a rare portrait of Henry the Eighth's grandmother Margaret Beaufort at Hever Castle in Kent. It's thought it was probably painted during the reign of Henry's daughter Queen Elizabeth the First.
