Surrey flood warning
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the River Mole. Flooding is possible for the river and tributaries from Kinnersley Manor to South Hersham, including Sidlow, Leigh, Betchworth, Brockham, Pixham, Dorking, Mickleham, Leatherhead, Fetcham, Stoke D'Abernon and Cobham this evening.
River levels have responded to the heavy rain throughout the day and are expected to overtop banks later this evening. Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible, but no flooding of property is anticipated. Rain will continue overnight. Tomorrow could be drier, but some showers are possible.
South flood warning update
A flood alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Ifield Brook, Upper River Mole, Gatwick Stream, Burstow Stream and Salfords Stream. Flooding is possible in Lowfield Heath, Charlwood, Hookwood, Bewbush, Furnace Green, Maidenbower, Crawley, Horley, Copthorne and Salfords today.
River levels have responded to heavy rainfall overnight and through this morning. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected. Rain will continue through much of today and overnight, possibly heavy at times. Tomorrow is forecast to be drier, but some showers are still possible.
