Two people have been rescued from a house fire in Edenbridge in Kent.

Police are investigating the cause of the blaze which is believed to have started shortly before midnight.

The two residents are being treated at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury for smoke inhalation.

The roof of the property is structurally unsound and so a police cordon remains in place.
