22-year-old Joel Elliott, of North Road, Brighton, has been charged with the murder of Jeffrey Burrows, 40, at his flat in Norfolk Square, Brighton, on Sunday 29 April. Elliott is due to appear in custody at Brighton Magistrates Court this morning, 4 May.
A second man has been arrested on suspicion of a Brighton murder. The 22-year old man, who lives locally, was arrested at an address in central Brighton mid afternoon yesterday, Wednesday 2 May, and is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.

Jeff was a devoted husband, cherished son, beloved brother and most loving uncle. Jeff was a very popular, very well liked and respected man. During his seventeen years in Brighton Jeff made many dear friends. We are all numb in our grief and empty in our souls to know Jeff is no longer with us."

Police have identified a man found dead from stab wounds at his flat in Brighton, as detectives continue to question a 21-year-old on suspicion of murder.
Jeffrey Burrows, 40, was discovered in the property where he lived alone in Norfolk Square at 7.40pm on Sunday, Sussex Police have said.
Detectives said they believe Mr Burrows was not the victim of a random attack as they continued to detain a local man.
A knife recovered from the flat was being examined to find out whether it has any link to the death of Mr Burrows, who reportedly worked as a bricklayer.

Detectives have arrested a 21 year old local man in connection with the death of a man in Brighton.
Paramedics were called to the flat in Norfolk Square on Sunday 29th April after a report that the 40-year-old man who lived there alone had received stab wounds.
He was treated at the scene but sadly was pronounced dead at 9pm. Officers are trying to trace his next of kin who do not live in the county.
