Mary Rose guns raise the roof

Parts of a roof had to be removed for bronze guns to be lifted out of an old museum into a new one. The cannons from Henry VIII's flagship Mary Rose spent 437 years underwater before they were lifted to the surface in 1982.

They fired in anger five hundred years ago and will soon form the centrepiece of a new museum. We're talking about the huge guns on Henry the VII's warship the Mary Rose. It's 30 years since the wreck was brought to the surface of the Solent. Now moving them has literally taken the roof off.
